Koenigsegg Regera is a high-performance hybrid sports car produced by the Swedish manufacturer Koenigsegg Automotive AB. It was first introduced at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and represents one of the most advanced and powerful production cars in the world.

The Regera combines a twin-turbocharged V8 engine with three electric motors to deliver an astonishing amount of power. The V8 engine produces 1,100 horsepower, and when combined with the electric motors, the total power output reaches an incredible 1,500 horsepower. The electric motors are powered by a high-capacity battery pack, which is charged through regenerative braking and can also be plugged into an external power source.

One of the unique features of the Regera is its direct drive system, which means it does not have a traditional gearbox. Instead, Koenigsegg uses what they call the "Koenigsegg Direct Drive" (KDD) system, which employs a hydraulic coupling to connect the engine to the rear wheels. This system allows for instant torque delivery and eliminates the need for multiple gears, resulting in seamless and lightning-fast acceleration.

In terms of performance, the Regera is an absolute beast. It can go from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 100 km/h) in just 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of around 250 mph (400 km/h).
